I took the Certified Specialist Programme in Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Therapy at Stanmore School of Business and it was pretty cool. I mean, I learned a lot about how to use art and music and stuff to help people who've been through trauma, which is really important to me. The course was pretty well-organized, with clear instructions! and easy-to-follow lessons. I liked that we got to try out some of the techniques ourselves, like drawing and journaling, which really helped me to understand how they could be used in a therapeutic setting. The instructors were also really knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. One thing that would've been nice is if we had more opportunities to practice our skills in a real-world setting, but overall I'm glad I took the course and I feel like it's helped me to become a better therapist.
