I recently completed the Postgraduate Certificate in AI for Library Science, and I must say, it was a thoroughly enjoyable and enriching experience. As a librarian from South Africa, I was keen to learn more about how AI can be used to address some of the unique challenges we face in our context. The course did a great job of providing a solid foundation in AI concepts, as well as exploring more advanced topics like recommender systems and knowledge graphs. I appreciated the emphasis on practical applications, and I found the group projects to be really valuable in terms of learning from my peers. One area for improvement might be more case studies or examples from the African context, but overall, I'm really happy with what I gained from the course.
